This is the new-look fosberry.com web-site. It has a new look (less cluttered), a less complex menu structure and uses new technology. All pages are being converted to HTML5 and revalidated (you can find out what version of HTML is used in the page that you are viewing, and whether it has been checked for compliance with the W3C standards, by putting your mouse over the information icon in the Fixed Menu, above).
Above, there is a fixed menu in grey, and below that a dynamic menu (which changes as you navigate through the site) in blue.
From the fixed menu, you can choose to display the lunar calendar, my photo, the navigational context (where you are in the navigation tree, with breadcrumb navigation), etc.
The old fosberry.com web-site has now been retired.
A mobile-friendly version of the site is under development, but is not quite ready.
This site is now always accessible via both IPv4 and IPv6. This also means that I am ready to host web-sites (web-hosting) on my server. Here (in English and Deutsch) is a summary the services that are available, along with basic prices. For more information and a price quotation, please email me at at david.fosberry@fosberry.com.
This site now uses an SSL security certificate signed by a recognised certificate authority (CA), so visitors using the HTTPS (secure web) protocol will no longer receive a security exception warning.
There is a site-map: a list of links to all the static pages on this site. Some people may prefer to navigate my site using these links. If the dynamic menus do not work for you, you should use the site-map to open the help pages on browser compatibility and browser settings.
This site now has a search widget to perform more comprehensive searches of this site: click here to read how.
I have added an information icon to the left of the page contents. Clicking this once will display information about the page: the language in which it is coded, and whether or not the HTML and CSS (style-sheets) have been validated using the W3C online validation services.
Check out my Opinion Blog. This contains my views on things that interest me or annoy me, from the news and from my life. I will add new blog posts as often as I can. If you have an opinion about my posts, please email me, whether to disagree, agree, correct some facts, correct my spelling or grammar, or to request a post on some new subject.
There is also a Humour Blog, and a Food Blog (just a record of what I have eaten and cooked). Updates to these two blogs will not be recorded in the ChangeLog.
You can navigate the site using the menus above. Alternatively, you can click these static links to get to the various sections of the site:
If you choose to display the Lunar Calendar from the fixed menu, you can click in the Lunar Calendar to read about how to use it.
If you choose to display my photo from the fixed menu above, clicking it takes you back to the home page.
You can find my photo galleries under "About Me" -> "Trips and Events".
The Navigational Context Area, if you choose to display it by clicking the "Nav. Context" item in the fixed menu above, shows you which page you are currently viewing, including links which will navigate you to the ancestor (parent, etc.) pages of the current page (if there are any). This is what is called breadcrumb navigation, in the same style as windows-explorer in Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8 and 10.
