There are a number of settings which affect what content your browser will handle, and how it will handle it. If you have problems with this web-site, check that your browser settings are correct.
How you change your browser settings depends on your browser, but are typically called "Options", "Settings" or "Preferences", and are found under the "Edit" or "Tools" menus of your browser.
JavaScript is a programming language which runs in the browser on your computer to interact with the user and with the elements that comprise a web-page. Generally JavaScript poses little security risk. This web-site makes extensive use of JavaScript, and doesn't work without it. Please ensure that JavaScript is enabled to view www.fosberry.com.
The dynamic menus on the main page are created and function through JavaScript. The Photo Galleries are created dynamically by JavaScript. Tooltips (text which pops up when you put your mouse over various parts of the page) function through JavaScript. Query Strings (e.g. www.fosberry.com/?page=Recommendations/Software) on some pages, including the main index page, which allow you to preload certain pages, enable the diagnostic logger, etc., are processed by JavaScript.
Pop-Up are windows opened by software (e.g. by JavaScript) rather than by the user clicking on links. Most browsers now have pop-up blocking enabled by default. This should not cause any problems with this web-site, except if you use these Help pages or the Diagnostic Logger. If there is a problem with a pop-up, your browser should warn you, and ask whether you want to allow pop-ups for this site (your choice).
Cookies are small pieces of data, related to specific web-sites, which remember things (your user name, when you last visited, your settings, preferences, etc.) from one session to the next. Your browser security settings determine whether Cookies are allowed or not.
Currently this site does not use Cookies. Although this may change in the future, to improve the user experience, the site will always work with Cookies disabled/blocked.
This site uses Frames (windows within other windows); without them this site will not work.
Frames are now such an established and normal part of web-sites that it is unlikely that your browser offers you the option of disabling them. If it does, ensure that they are enabled.
