You can start the site with the diagnostic with www.fosberry.com/?logging=on. You need to allow the browser to open a pop-up, otherwise the logger will not display, and there will be resultant JavaScript errors which may disable certain web-site functionality.
The Diagnostic Logger is a pop-up window; you must allow pop-ups from this site before it will work.
The Diagnostic Logger has its own built-in Help. Simply click the "?". The help includes an interactive demonstration.
To empty the log window, simply click the "Clear" button.
The logger understands 4 levels of severity. Level 1 is normally an error; level 4 is information. You can control how many levels are displayed, by clicking one of the numbered buttons in the "Show to Level" area.
The log data can be sorted to the contents of various columns. To sort the data by a given column, click the column header; a sort indicator will appear, to show in which direction (ascending or descending) the data is sorted; simply click it again to sort in the other direction.
You can sort by "Time", "Level" & "From (Window Name)", but not by "Message".
Sorting is done by a program running in your browser (i.e. on your PC). Some browsers are rather slow sorting, if the log has a lot of entries.
