The BBC reports that a communications satellite built by Boeing and operated by Intelsat has broken up in orbit.

The satellite, iS-33e, has apparently broken up into at least 20 pieces, which are being tracked by "US Space Forces".

This is just the latest in a never ending stream of bad news for Boeing, although to be fair, a break up like this is usually caused by a collision with either a meteoroid or a piece of space junk from another satellite, rather than a failure of the satellite itself(I am sure we will find out more soon).
