There has been some very confusing news from Microsoft recently, as reported by Forbes. Ever since the release of Windows 11 there have been many issues for users of Windows 10. Many PCs could not be upgraded because they did not meet the mandatory requirements; even so these PCs would begin the upgrade process, and the fail, getting into an upgrade loop which would make these PCs unusable. Now Microsoft has relaxed this requirements (proving that they were not really mandatory), and millions of user can now upgrade their Windows 10 systems. Microsoft has now warned that these users should not upgrade their systems, because they risk losing access to security updates as a result. Then again, these users will lose access to security updates if they don't upgrade, when Microsoft stops issuing updates at the end of Windows 10 support. So, damned if you do, and damned if you don't. The only conclusion we can draw from this debacle is that Microsoft hates us all. |
