As if there had not been enough air safety incidents lately, now the BBC reports on a case from Indonesia in which both the pilot and copilot fell asleep for 28 minutes during the flight. The pilot told his copilot that he needed to rest, and took a nap; this is not meant to happen on short-haul flights. The copilot then also fell asleep. Air-traffic control were unable to raise anyone on the flight-deck during the naps. "Our lives in their hands!" | |
