This report on Electrek details how Donald Trump, as part of his campaign for re-election, told oil executives that, in exchange for $1 billion of campaign contributions, he would end electric vehicle incentives. How is this not illegal? It illustrates that the main problem with American politics is the money. It is bad enough with all the lobbying and bribes in the form of election campaign funding, but now Trump, at least, is actively soliciting the bribes. It really is time to get the money out of politics, to save democracy. |
