Finally it seems that climate change is now accepted by the majority of Americans, according to this article in Bloomberg Business. The latest opinion poll data shows that three quarters of Americans now "accept the scientific consensus on climate change": 90% of Democrats and 59% of Republicans. This is despite the fact that the Republican party is the main source of climate-change denial propaganda in the US, due to the huge influence of energy industry lobbyists on Republican party policy. The people have spoken. Time for the Republican party to join the 21st century, and start representing the views of their voters. | |
