All of the pages on this site are in HTML 5, except for one hidden page (which will be converted soon).
The various dynamic menus & effects (e.g. tooltips) are achieved with JavaScript. The Photo Galleries are also created as dynamic HTML using JavaScript.
CSS are used extensively to define colours and styles.
There are a few CGI pages (software which runs on the server, and generate HTML and JavaScript) written in Perl. Normally this is because these pages need to access the database on the server, in which case they contain embedded SQL statements.
A database server, MySQL, is used for the Change Log, Photo Galleries, the Blogs, to fill the page context field (directly above the main frame) which tells you which page you are currently viewing and to populate the per-page information pop-up.
